Asia's Vacation Paradise. On the shores of the Arabian Sea, in the Indian Ocean, under the tropical sun, is Goa.
And in Goa, jewel kingdom of ancient Maharajas and rulers, proud possession of the Portuguese Empire and today's most renowned tourist spot in India, there is the village of Colva.
Idyllic Colva. Away from the main-stream tourists yet bustling with visitors from Europe, Middle East and everywhere else. A typical down to earth local fishing village. At The Beach, water simmering like a painting, always it seem under perfect blue skies; waves so gentle and clean, rolling down, and never ending; the sand so fine, so white and so much; the shore lined with Palm trees, fruitfully bearing their coconuts, so tasty, so sweet, so much nectar.Open up one and drink straight up for just a few pennies, no more. And the sweet, soft fruit-in-the-nut is yours to spoon. The people. A friendlier race no where else. Ask the British! And the Portuguese, the Germans and Scandinavians,
Ahhh, Paradise! Sitting in a palm-fringed and thatched-roof local bar by the edge of the water, sand between your toes, or sunning your body in perfect peace and quiet. Join the beach strollers in the evening or have the whole sand dune to yourself in the morning and afternoon. Eat, drink, be merry. And when you want to go "home", there is your apartment just 10 minutes through the tourist stalls and the local bars lined along the only road in town.
It is a 1 bedroom apartment. In a newer building, a condo-style building. On the 2nd floor. With hot and cold water shower, a fan to cool you down, a balcony to watch the evening become night and your own kitchen and bar fridge . Yours for the next two weeks or two months. Beats a hotel anytime!
